Michele Morgan Honored as Chaffiin Classified Employee of the Year

Fort Smith Public Schools is proud to announce that Michele Morgan, affectionately known as the "School Magician," has been named Chaffin Middle School’s Classified Employee of the Year. As a custodian, Michele does more than keep the school running—she fosters a warm, welcoming environment where students and staff feel like family. She starts each day with a smile and a kind greeting, setting a positive tone for everyone around her.

Michele’s dedication goes beyond her job description. She is quick to respond to any issue, ensuring that students and staff always have a safe, comfortable space to learn and work. One colleague shared, “I know this is part of her job, but the level of care she placed was above anything I have witnessed in my career. She is a gem, and I am thankful she is with our school!” Whether she’s handling unexpected maintenance issues or simply brightening someone’s day with encouragement, Michele’s commitment is unmatched.

Her professionalism, kindness, and self-sufficiency make her an invaluable member of the Chaffin community. Though she may not seek recognition, there is no doubt that she deserves it. Michele Morgan embodies what it means to serve with excellence, and Fort Smith Public Schools is honored to celebrate her as Chaffin Middle School’s Certified Employee of the Year.
