Fort Smith Public Schools is proud to announce that seventh-grade science teacher, Laura Davis, has been named Chaffin Middle School Teacher of the Year. Known for her unwavering commitment to student growth, Ms. Davis has distinguished herself as an exceptional educator and leader within the Chaffin community.

"Her classroom is a haven for learning, where creativity, curiosity, and intellectual growth thrive," said a colleague. "Ms. Davis consistently uses innovation and the latest technology to engage her students, helping them achieve great things and leave her room with a sense of accomplishment."

Ms. Davis’s impact extends beyond her students. She plays a vital role in the science department, contributing to curriculum development and lesson design. Her collaborative spirit has elevated her entire team, and she regularly shares her expertise in new technologies and teaching strategies with fellow educators.

Additionally, Ms. Davis serves as a co-coach for the Chaffin Robotics Team, guiding students in engineering concepts and fostering an environment where exploration, persistence, and learning from failure are encouraged. Her support and dedication to both students and colleagues have made a lasting impact at Chaffin Middle School.
