Mrs. Mankins earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Arkansas Tech University and began her career as a choral director at Butterfield Junior High in Van Buren. She later taught in the Alma School District and at Ramsey Junior High in Fort Smith. Passionate about supporting students beyond the classroom, she pursued a Master’s degree in School Counseling and Leadership, transitioning to the role of school counselor at King Elementary in Van Buren and eventually at Chaffin Middle School. During her 11 years as a counselor at Chaffin, she achieved National Board Certification in School Counseling and earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University.

Mrs. Mankins and her husband, both dedicated educators, have one daughter and two lively Catahoula dogs. Her husband serves as a band director, and together they share the belief that since work occupies a large part of life, true fulfillment comes from doing what one loves. For Mrs. Mankins, that calling is education.

As Assistant Principal, Mrs. Mankins is committed to fostering a positive school culture, strengthening relationships built on trust, and maintaining high academic expectations. She is devoted to ensuring that every student at Chaffin is given the opportunity to excel academically, emotionally, and socially, always striving for their personal best.
